The Governor of Central Java, retired Police Commissioner General Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, officially opened the grand event Jateng Fair 2026 at the PRPP complex in Semarang on Friday (June 26, 2026). This annual event, celebrating the 81st anniversary of Central Java, carries the spirit of "Action for Transformation," realized through concrete development actions and the enhancement of regional potential.
In his speech, the Governor emphasized that Jateng Fair is not merely an entertainment event, but a strategic showcase for regional progress. It serves as a collaborative space for the government, private sector, and local innovators to display research findings, technology, and flagship MSME products ready to compete in national and global markets.
The main differentiator of this year's event is the integration of development promotion with the Central Java Innovation Product Exhibition. This synergy is expected to attract investors while offering broad insights to the public regarding technological advancements created by the nation's youth across various regions.
The Governor also encouraged all regional leaders in Central Java to actively promote the potential of their respective areas. This move is expected to spur regional economic growth while building a healthier business ecosystem for MSMEs to thrive.
General Director of PT PRPP Central Java, Shafigh Pahlevi Lontoh, explained that the public can enjoy the exhibition free of charge for ten full days, from June 26 to July 5, 2026. Although exhibition entry is free, the organizers still apply ticket fees for visitors who wish to attend guest star music concerts.
The excitement of the event is supported by hundreds of booths involving Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), BUMD, BUMN, and creative communities such as Kids Wonderland. Additionally, the organizers provide a live public screening facility for the 2026 World Cup in collaboration with TVRI to boost visitor enthusiasm.
