Cenderawasih University (Uncen) continues to optimize the management of institutional assets to strengthen sustainable financial independence. This strategic step is realized through the expansion of productive business units as well as social-oriented programs expected to bring a direct impact on the academic community and the wider public in Papua.
One of the concrete steps to be realized soon is the launch of a new printing business unit. The enterprise, projected to be fully operational within the next one to two months, will serve as the service center for printing official campus documents, ranging from scientific papers, undergraduate theses, master's theses, journals, to academic books.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and General Affairs of Uncen, Ferdinand Risamasu, explained that the presence of this printing business unit is targeted to integrate all internal campus printing needs that have not yet been optimally managed. This innovative effort is believed to significantly increase the university's operational efficiency.
In addition to focusing on strengthening the internal economic ecosystem, the oldest higher education institution in the land of Papua also shows high social concern. Uncen plans to build a halfway house facility intended for the general public, especially the families of patients accompanying their relatives undergoing treatment at the Jayapura Central General Hospital (RSUP).
