The Democratic Party has officially concluded its 2026 National Political Education (Dikpolnas) series, held over two days at the SBY-Ani Museum and Gallery in Pacitan, East Java. The event, which ended on Wednesday (May 20), was attended by 157 cadres representing 38 Regional Representative Councils (DPD) of the Democratic Party from across Indonesia.
The closing highlight featured a strategic briefing session by the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, who also serves as the Chairman of the Party's High Assembly, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. In his address, he outlined geopolitical and domestic challenges, transformative leadership, and the reaffirmation of the party's ideology as the primary compass in designing winning strategies towards the 2029 Election.
Rector of the Democratic Party Institute (IPD), Andi Mallarangeng, emphasized that Dikpolnas is a vital instrument for producing cadres capable of responding to the dynamics of the times. For him, this education is more than just training; it is a platform for national consolidation to modernize organizational governance while strengthening public trust in the Democratic Party.
Although the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, was unable to attend in person due to an official trip to Singapore, he still delivered instructions via video message. The presence of several key figures, including Transmigration Minister M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara and East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak, added political weight to the event, which carried the theme of strengthening adaptive leadership.
Iwan Setiawan Arifin Manasa, as the Organizing Committee Chairman, explained that all participants had received in-depth training on political communication, winning techniques, and building a solid grassroots base. It is hoped that the knowledge gained by the cadres in Pacitan can be immediately implemented to mobilize the party machinery in their respective regions ahead of the upcoming political contest.
