Quy Nhon University, Vietnam, is preparing to host the major event VCCA 2026 Conference, which will take place from July 16 to 18, 2026. Carrying the theme "Smart Automation - Strategic Technologies for the Digital Era", this event is held as a concrete step to support Politburo Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Decision No. 21/2026/QD-TTg regarding the acceleration of national strategic technology development.
Academic enthusiasm this year has increased rapidly with the acceptance of 157 scientific papers to be presented across 22 discussion panels. The primary focus of discussion covers a broad spectrum of cutting-edge technologies, ranging from industrial and mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles, to automation in the healthcare and smart agriculture sectors, which are now vital needs for modern society.
The plenary session of this conference is projected to provide deep insights into future technology trends, such as embodied intelligence, soft robotics, as well as smart factory and smart city architectures. These innovations are believed to form a solid foundation for the birth of a new generation in global digital transformation.
In addition to being a scientific forum, VCCA 2026 bridges the gap between academic research and industrial needs through a Business Forum. A total of 25 to 30 presentations will be dedicated to discussing the 'Make in Vietnam' ecosystem, covering drone development, green transformation, and applied research collaboration involving professional talent.
As a complement, the AT Expo technology exhibition will feature 50 to 70 booths from research institutes and technology companies to showcase their latest solutions. The Vietnam Automation Association emphasized that this event is expected to produce various sustainable memorandums of understanding to ensure research results can be immediately implemented into commercial production sectors.
