A joint team consisting of the Cirebon City Police along with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) of Cirebon City and Regency conducted raids on several nightclubs on Saturday (1/8/2026) night. This operation, codenamed Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD), began at 23:00 WIB to maintain the stability of public security and order (kamtibmas).
The targets of this integrated operation were two nightclubs located in Kesambi District, Cirebon City, and Kedawung District, Cirebon Regency. This preventive measure also aimed to ensure that nightclub operators comply with applicable operational regulations.
Head of the Cirebon City Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Police Commissioner Adjutant (AKP) Shindi Al Afghani, explained that this enforcement is a form of strict supervision over nightlife activities within the jurisdiction of the Cirebon City Police. In addition to checking administrative completeness and operational licenses, the joint officers also searched visitors' belongings and the business facilities.
During the operation, Satpol PP personnel confiscated a number of bottles of alcoholic beverages that violated local regulations (perda). On the other hand, the Narcotics Investigation Unit also conducted random urine tests on dozens of people at the locations to anticipate drug trafficking.
Shindi confirmed that all urine tests conducted showed negative results. The police found no indication of drug or other addictive substance abuse during the raid. Nevertheless, he emphasized that similar supervision will continue to be carried out periodically to ensure the situation in the region remains conducive.
The police also urged nightclub managers to be cooperative and disciplined in running their businesses. Compliance with regulations is considered the main key to preventing potential security disturbances and creating a safe environment for the people of Cirebon.
