The Badung Regency Government continues to demonstrate its commitment to preserving local customs, religion, and arts and culture. This was evident when the Chairperson of the Badung Regency Hindu Dharma Women's Association (WHDI), Mrs. Yunita Alit Sucipta, personally attended the series of Melaspas and Mecaru Pedudusan Alit ceremonies (karya) at Gunung Sari Temple, Banjar Tanggayuda, Bongkasa Village, Abiansemal District, Badung, on Friday (17/7/2026).
During her visit, Mrs. Yunita expressed high appreciation for the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) and togetherness shown by the villagers (krama) of Bongkasa in making this sacred work a success. She hoped that this series of religious ceremonies would run smoothly and bring blessings of peace, prosperity, and harmony to the entire community.
As a concrete contribution to the sustainability of the community's spiritual facilities, the Badung Regency Government handed over a grant of IDR 300 million. This financial stimulus is specifically allocated to support the smooth operation and funding of the entire series of ceremonial processions at the temple.
The Chairman of the Gunung Sari Temple Committee (Manggala Karya), I Wayan Sunarta, expressed deep gratitude for the consistent attention from the local government. The temple, which is revered by 19 families (KK), had previously received Badung APBD BKK funds worth IDR 1.1 billion for physical restoration, which is now completed with assistance for the religious ceremony.
The sacred procession was also attended by representatives of the Badung Regency Culture Office, the Acting Sub-district Head of Abiansemal along with members of the sub-district leadership coordination forum (Tripika), the Village Head (Perbekel) of Bongkasa, traditional leaders of the royal houses (puri) and priestly compounds (griya), as well as local youth (yowana).
