An emergency response action was shown by the Regent of Simalungun, Dr. H. Anton Achmad Saragih, when reviewing health services at the Ujung Padang Community Health Center (Puskesmas), North Sumatra, on Friday (26/6/2026). During the visit, he found a 19-year-old resident named Tisa Nurzila lying weak due to complications from a serious illness.
Tisa, a resident of Nagori Kampung Lalang, is known to suffer from complex health issues including heart disease, lung problems, and anemia. The patient's parents had expressed deep concern regarding treatment costs amidst their economic limitations.
Responding to the situation, Regent Anton Achmad Saragih emphasized that the local government is fully committed to ensuring the safety of residents in need of immediate medical attention. He then instructed that Tisa be immediately referred to the Perdagangan Regional General Hospital (RSUD) to receive intensive care from specialist medical personnel with more adequate facilities.
The evacuation process was immediately carried out using an ambulance after the family agreed to the medical step. The Pangulu (village head) of Nagori Kampung Lalang, Tarno, expressed appreciation for the direct attention given by the Regent, which was considered a great encouragement for the patient's family during this difficult time.
Upon arrival at the ER of RSUD Perdagangan, Tisa immediately underwent a series of medical examinations, ranging from anamnesis, physical examinations, laboratory tests, to radiology. Currently, the on-duty medical team has coordinated with relevant specialists to determine further therapeutic steps to ensure the patient's recovery.
