The Buleleng Regency Government is taking progressive steps to suppress the spread of infectious diseases by strengthening cross-sector collaboration. This concrete step is realized through a special partnership forum to optimize the prevention and control of AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (ATM), which took place in the Meeting Room of Unit IV of the Buleleng Regent's Office on Friday (17/7/2026).
This strategic forum, initiated by the Indonesian Association of Health Offices (Adinkes) for the Bali Region, brought together elements of local government, healthcare facilities, community organizations, business actors, and development partners. This synergy was formed to respond to concerns over the high number of cases detected for these three infectious diseases, based on surveillance data from the Buleleng Health Office as of June 2026.
Representing the Head of Bappeda Buleleng Komang Audi Berawijaya, the Head of Government and Human Development (PPM) of Bappeda Buleleng, Arya G. Mataram, emphasized that handling ATM can no longer be done partially by the health sector alone. A comprehensive integration of local development planning and budgeting is required for a more integrated and far-reaching impact.
On this occasion, Arya presented the implementation scheme of the 2026 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD). This scheme focuses on budget tagging from non-health Regional Government Organizations (OPD), ensuring the active contribution of cross-sector agencies in supporting infectious disease prevention programs in accordance with their respective authorities.
In addition to the regional budget, the Buleleng Regency Government is also looking at alternative funding potential through the business sector. The Head of Economy, Natural Resources, and Infrastructure of Bappeda Buleleng, I Gusti Ngurah Purnawirawan, explained the strategy for optimizing Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSLP/CSR) funds as additional financial support for the sustainability of this health program.
Through this collaborative agreement, the Buleleng Regency Government hopes that the built commitment can be realized into concrete regulations and budget policies soon. Strong synergy is expected to suppress the rate of infectious disease cases while accelerating the target achievement of eliminating AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria in Buleleng Regency to realize a healthier community.
