Changing the stigma that education graduates can only pursue careers as teachers in formal schools. In today's digital era, technological developments and the high public demand for flexible learning services have opened the doors wide to a promising new profession: edupreneurs or entrepreneurs in the field of education.

The concept of edupreneurship combines pedagogical expertise with business skills to create innovations that benefit society while also having economic value. Graduates are no longer just delivering material in the classroom, but rather designing creative educational solutions, such as online tutoring platforms, specialized courses, and educational content creation.

Dean of the Faculty of Education (FIP) at Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang (UNIKAMA), Dr. Cicilia Ika Rahayu Nita, M.Pd., explained that the job prospects for education graduates today are very broad. Teaching and facilitating learning processes have now become highly valued soft skills in various industries, including educational technology (EdTech) companies, corporate training institutions, and educational consultancies.

According to Cicilia, an educator's core assets, such as the ability to design curriculum, communicate effectively, understand learning psychology, and conduct assessments, form a strong foundation for building an independent business. By leveraging digital technology, the market reached is no longer limited by geographic regions, so business growth potential is much faster.

To equip students to face these new challenges, FIP UNIKAMA continues to adapt its curriculum. They integrate the use of artificial intelligence (AI), digital literacy, project-based learning, and competency certification programs. These efforts aim to ensure that graduates are not only ready to become professional educators, but also adaptive and creative in creating new jobs in the education sector.
