Responding to the environmental impact caused by the fire at the Jatiwaringin Landfill (TPA) in Mauk, Tangerang Regency, the Medical and Health (Dokkes) team of the Tangerang City Police moved quickly to provide medical assistance to affected residents. This health service is focused on the community in Rajeg District, who have been exposed to the fire smoke since Tuesday (30/6).
Tangerang City Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Andi Muhammad Indra Waspada Amirullah, emphasized that this step is a form of proactive police response in mitigating health risks due to deteriorating air quality. His party realized that the dispersion of smoke from the waste disposal area has high potential to disturb the breathing of residents around the scene.
As a center for aid operations, the Dokkes team has set up a medical service post since Friday (3/7). The post is strategically located in the residents' evacuation area, specifically in Jungkel Hamlet, Tanjakan Mekar Village, Rajeg District, to ensure that access to medical services can be easily reached by people who need immediate medical attention.
