The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) has ensured the readiness of supporting facilities, particularly health services, for the public attending the National Dhikr and Prayer event at Monas Square, Jakarta. This national religious agenda, scheduled for Saturday (1/8/2026), is designed to run safely, orderly, and solemnly for all attendees.
Head of the Public Relations and Public Communication Bureau of Kemenag, Thobib Al Asyhar, explained that his office is collaborating with the National Alms Agency (Baznas) to set up health posts. At least eight ambulances and 25 medical personnel, consisting of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, are deployed on-site to anticipate the emergency needs of participants.
In addition to health service guarantees, the committee is also providing basic logistical needs free of charge. A total of 100,000 bottles of 600-milliliter mineral water and 100,000 packages of bread will be distributed to the attending congregation. To maintain the cleanliness of the capital's icon, 75 cleanliness volunteers have also been deployed at various strategic points in the Monas area.
This anticipatory step is supported by cross-sectoral coordination involving various relevant agencies. Kemenag is working with the Police, the Transportation Agency, the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Damkar), and the Monas management to ensure optimal crowd control and environmental security.
This National Dhikr and Prayer is held as a collective spiritual effort to pray for the safety, unity, and progress of Indonesia ahead of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Kemenag also urges all attending citizens to maintain order and follow the instructions of the organizing committee.
