In a strategic forum led by the leadership of the Central Youth Union, delegates from various regions discussed concrete steps to strengthen political character and national pride among the younger generation. The main focus of the discussion was how to enhance the effectiveness of educating revolutionary values amidst the rapid flow of information and challenges on social media.
A delegate from Dien Bien Province, Quang Anh Quan, highlighted the real challenges facing youth today, ranging from the negative impacts of the market economy to exposure to harmful information on the internet. He emphasized that building self-immunity through an understanding of national history and patriotism is the key to ensuring the younger generation is not easily influenced by wrong and hostile views.
Echoing this sentiment, a delegate from the People's Public Security, Nguyen Van Tan, proposed strengthening the role of youth in national defense and security through the "Youth Volunteer Team" model. This initiative focuses not only on law enforcement, but also includes positive campaigns, social assistance for vulnerable groups, and mentoring for youth at risk of breaking the law so they can reintegrate into society.
Innovation in messaging was also in the spotlight. Nguyen Viet Hai Dang from the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union proposed the creation of an integrated digital content bank—including short videos, podcasts, and infographics—accessible to all grassroots organizations. According to him, leveraging technology and collaborating with public figures or KOLs is a crucial strategy to reach young people more effectively and relevantly.
Bui Nhat Ha, representing the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union, added that youth must be positioned as pioneers in the cultural industry and creative economy. She emphasized that in welcoming the 2030–2045 era of national development, youth need to be prepared not only ideologically, but also equipped with qualified technical skills to support the pillars of scientific innovation, the private economy, and national security.
Closing the session, Le Hai Long expressed appreciation for the delegates' contributions. All the ideas collected will serve as a strategic basis for the Youth Union in formulating policies that are more adaptive, solution-oriented, and capable of addressing the challenges of the times for the nation's future generations.
