The Regional Government of East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, continues to improve the quality of public health insurance through comprehensive data updates. This strategic step was realized through a cross-regional agency coordination meeting to ensure the validation of National Health Insurance (JKN) membership data, led directly by Assistant I of the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of East Barito, Ari Panan.
During the meeting, Ari Panan emphasized that data accuracy is a crucial pillar for the success of regional health insurance programs. Administrative discrepancies are often the main obstacle for citizens when they need medical services. Therefore, regular data updates are a collective responsibility that must be resolved synergistically.
"Synergy between local government agencies and BPJS Kesehatan must be strengthened so that all JKN membership data remains valid and targeted. With an updated database, we can ensure that this health insurance is truly received by eligible citizens," Ari Panan explained.
On the same occasion, representatives from the Muara Teweh Branch Office of BPJS Kesehatan presented the latest status of JKN membership in the East Barito Regency. BPJS introduced the use of the PASTI JKN Web Portal as a digital instrument to monitor membership dynamics, including health insurance contribution assistance recipients (PBI JK), non-wage earners (PBPU) registered by the local government, and non-PBI participants.
Through this system, relevant agencies can track the active or inactive status of participants in real-time, identify the causes of status changes, and distribute the data for follow-up by the local social services and population registries. This step is expected to minimize obstacles to health services in the field.
This integrated collaboration is expected to not only optimize the effectiveness of social protection programs in East Barito Regency, but also to promote inclusive, accurate, and sustainable public service governance for all elements of society.
