Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) has officially established a strategic partnership with CT Group Corporation, a multisector company from Vietnam, to accelerate the development of the ecosystem and technological independence in the ASEAN region. This major step was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the Rector of ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., and the Chairman of CT Group Corporation, Tran Kim Chung, at the ITB Rectorate Building on Tuesday (14/7/2026).
This cross-border collaboration is comprehensively designed, covering various vital aspects ranging from joint research, prototyping, to testing future technologies. In addition, both parties are also committed to building modern laboratories, innovation hubs, business incubators, as well as facilitating the development of high-tech startups.
This strategic partnership also brings fresh air to ITB students through the provision of scholarship programs and opportunities for final projects that are directly integrated with the industrial world. Through this synergy, it is hoped that scientific research results will no longer be buried in laboratories, but can be mass-produced and commercialized to meet the needs of the market and society in the ASEAN region.
