The Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province, Muhammad Syarifuddin, conducted a direct inspection of the National Paralympic Committee Indonesia (NPCI) training center complex in South Kalimantan on Thursday (9/7/2026). This visit was carried out to take a closer look at the facilities and infrastructure used by athletes to support their performance.

During his inspection, Syarifuddin visited various supporting facilities, ranging from the athletics arena, shooting range, judo training room, weightlifting, to boccia and archery. He also checked the condition of the athlete dormitories, which serve as temporary housing for coached participants during their training camp.

Syarifuddin expressed his admiration for NPCI South Kalimantan's independent initiative in providing comprehensive sports infrastructure. According to him, the organization's dedication has borne tangible results in the form of a series of proud achievements for South Kalimantan, both in national and international scale competitions. The Provincial Government is also committed to following up on several aspirations conveyed by the management regarding future facility development.

The Chairman of NPCI South Kalimantan, Sumansyah, positively welcomed the visit of the Regional Secretary. He explained that all current infrastructure was built purely through voluntary contributions and dues from athletes and coaches, referring to the organization's statutes and bylaws.

Furthermore, Sumansyah hopes this visit will serve as a strategic momentum for the South Kalimantan Provincial Government to increase attention and concrete support. Synergy between the government and the organization is expected to optimize the development of paralympic athletes so that their quality and achievements continue to improve in the future.
