The North Luwu Regency Government is fully committed to promoting equitable access to higher education in its region. This strategic step is manifested through concrete support for the planned establishment of the Polytechnic of Technology and Innovation initiated by the A. Manene Cendikia Foundation. The presence of this educational institution is expected to produce competent human resources (HR) in the field of vocational technology.
Regent of North Luwu, Andi Abdullah Rahim, conveyed this commitment while chairing a coordination meeting at the Command Center of the North Luwu Regent's Office on Wednesday (15/7/2026). The coordination meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the A. Manene Cendikia Foundation, Alauddin Sukri, as well as leaders of related Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) who will oversee the preparation process for the campus establishment.
In his directive, Regent Andi Abdullah Rahim emphasized that the presence of this polytechnic will be a solution for high school graduates and equivalent in his area. So far, the lack of local campuses has forced young people to study in major cities, resulting in high living costs. The existence of this campus is expected to reduce family expenses while keeping the region's best potential contributing locally.
The North Luwu Regency Government stated its readiness to accompany all administrative processes and cross-sectoral coordination to ensure that all stages of establishment proceed in accordance with applicable regulations. This collaboration is also projected to yield applied research that can be absorbed by the local industrial and entrepreneurial sectors in the Luwu Raya region.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the A. Manene Cendikia Foundation, Alauddin Sukri, appreciated the rapid response and support from the local government. This synergy is considered a key asset in building a higher education institution relevant to the needs of today's job market.
