BPJS Kesehatan Singkawang Branch is intensively expanding the reach of the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program to ensure the availability of healthcare access for people in the Singkawang, Bengkayang, and Sambas (Singbebas) regions. This initiative is seen as a crucial pillar in molding a healthy, competitive human resource base as capital for regional development.
Head of BPJS Kesehatan Singkawang Branch, Wahyu Aji Anindhiyo Satriojati, revealed that by the end of 2025, JKN membership in the region reached a significant figure of 1.021 million people. This accounts for 92 percent of the total population in the three regions, indicating the government's commitment to providing universal health coverage.
Healthcare service utilization data throughout 2025 shows a positive trend with a total of over 2.67 million service transactions, equivalent to an average of 7,000 visits per day. This high participation rate reflects growing public trust in healthcare facilities partnering with BPJS, while also facilitating public access to necessary medical treatment.
In addition to expanding coverage, BPJS Kesehatan continues to optimize digital transformation through the Mobile JKN application, WhatsApp-based PANDAWA administrative services, and the Care Center 165 service center. This step aims to cut red tape and facilitate access to administrative services without requiring participants to visit physical offices in person.
It was emphasized that the success of this program is inseparable from cross-sector synergy involving local governments, healthcare facilities, and the private sector. Moving forward, BPJS Kesehatan is committed to continuously improving service quality to support the grand vision of national development in creating a healthy and productive society toward a more advanced Indonesia.
