Internal dynamics within the Golkar Party in Garut Regency are heating up as demands for change from lower-level party structures grow stronger. Darda, Chairman of the Karangpawitan Subdistrict Committee (PK), stated that the urge to introduce a new face to the party's leadership is not merely discourse, but a genuine aspiration from cadres at the subdistrict to village levels.
According to Darda, cadres desire a change toward a leadership style that is more inclusive, open, and capable of responding to modern challenges with solutions. He emphasized that the future leader must truly represent the will of the grassroots so that the organizational machinery can operate more participatively and in alignment with the broader community's needs.
The momentum of the Golkar Party's Regional Conference (Musda) has now become the primary focus for cadres in Garut. Darda hopes this succession process will comprehensively accommodate voices from all levels of the party structure. For him, a change in leadership is not just a job rotation, but a strategic step to strengthen party solidarity ahead of upcoming political contests.
