Global crypto exchange OKX has officially launched the beta version of OKX AI, an innovative marketplace designed to support the ecosystem of autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents. This move marks the company's business diversification into the emerging agent economy, where AI software can seek employment, execute transactions, and build their own digital track record on the blockchain.

The platform introduces two core features: the Agent Marketplace for developers to list their AI services, and the Task Marketplace that automates job assignments and payments. All transactions on the platform utilize stablecoins such as USDT and USDG, backed by smart contract escrow systems to guarantee work outcomes, alongside instant payment mechanisms for standardized services.

OKX Founder and CEO Star Xu stated that traditional financial infrastructure was designed for human needs, necessitating a new foundation tailored specifically for autonomous software. OKX AI addresses this gap by leveraging Onchain OS infrastructure, enabling AI agents to interact within a secure and decentralized digital financial ecosystem.

To maintain platform integrity, OKX implements a compliance framework and fraud detection system comparable to its crypto exchange standards. Furthermore, disputes between agents are not resolved by a centralized authority, but through a network of staked decentralized evaluators. The project is also backed by strategic collaborations with tech giants and blockchain foundations, including AWS, the Solana Foundation, and the Ethereum Foundation.

OKX executives project that agentic commerce could potentially grow into a trillion-dollar market within the next five years. The platform is expected to serve as a catalyst for crypto developers and solo entrepreneurs alike to enhance operational business efficiency through reliable, transparent AI-driven automation.
