PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMFI) is taking strategic steps by optimizing its defense aviation business line. This move is aimed at diversification while responding to the dynamic needs of the aircraft industry in the defense sector, which is projected to continue increasing.
GMFI President Director, Andi Fahrurrozi, stated that the company targets a revenue contribution from the defense segment of at least 10 percent by 2026. This focus is a priority for the company given that dynamic global geopolitical conditions have driven the demand for aircraft maintenance in the defense sector much more significantly compared to the commercial sector.
The development of this business line is seen as a right step to strengthen the company's resilience in the future. Through its technical competence, GMF AeroAsia is optimistic about capturing defense aviation market opportunities both domestically and internationally, while maintaining business sustainability amidst fluctuations in the commercial aviation market.
