The City Government of Tidore Islands continues to commit to improving the quality of health services for its citizens. This commitment is realized through strengthening collaboration with the Social Security Administrator for Health (BPJS Kesehatan) to expand the reach of the health insurance program in the region.
This strategic step was emphasized by the Assistant Regional Secretary for Government and People's Welfare of Tidore City, Rudi Ipaenin, during the opening of the Health Sector Cooperation Management Partnership Forum. The meeting, initiated by the Ternate Branch of BPJS Kesehatan, took place in the Regional Secretary's Meeting Room on Tuesday (14/7/2026).
In his remarks, Rudi explained that fulfilling health insurance is a fundamental right of citizens as well as an important indicator of regional development success. Therefore, continuous synergy with BPJS Kesehatan is crucial to ensure that all segments of the Tidore Islands community receive adequate health protection.
This forum is designed as a periodic evaluation platform to map medical service challenges at the city level, identify gaps in health facilities, and formulate cross-sector tactical steps to ensure the success of regional health priority programs.
The agenda also featured a presentation by the Head of the Ternate Branch of BPJS Kesehatan, dr. Meryta Oktaviane Rondonowu. Several key figures also attended the discussion, including the Chairman of Commission III of the Tidore Islands Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Ardiansyah Fauji, Director of Tidore Islands Regional Hospital (RSD) dr. Zuhrina Ridwan, Secretary of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) Marwiah Abdurahman, and representatives from the local Health Office.
